Discuss the historical fiction title The Orphan Collector by Ellen Marie Wiseman.

Discuss this historical fiction novel set in Philadelphia during the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. It follows 13-year old German immigrant, Pia Lange who must navigate the quarantined city to find food for her family after her mother dies. Pia’s quest becomes a desperate search for her vanished baby brothers after she is taken to an orphanage, a search complicated by the actions of a woman consumed by grief.
